About & methodology

TrueTourneyCost exists because the real price of a youth tournament weekend – admission, parking, team entry and hotel rules – is often buried or missing. We collect it in one searchable place, starting with Texas basketball tournaments and camps.

How the data is gathered

Every figure comes from a public organizer or registration page (organizer sites, Exposure Events and similar). Each event page links to its source and shows the date we last checked it.
We verify the sport, dates and prices again before listing. Pages sometimes contradict themselves or carry stale copy; when we notice that, we say so in a data note.
Blank means “not found”. It does not mean free, and it is never a guess. Parking and stay-to-play rules are often simply not posted.
Costs change. Always confirm with the organizer before you travel or register.

Ratings and independence

No ratings are for sale. Listings, rankings and any future ratings cannot be bought, and organizers cannot pay to change what is shown.
Any future sponsorship or affiliate link will be clearly labeled.
We are not affiliated with any tournament organizer.

Corrections & family reports

Spotted an error? Tell us. Family cost reports open in November; each report will be reviewed before it is shown. Until then the site shows organizer-posted costs only.
